REVOLVER DUEL IN BANK.
DIBQUISED ROBBER HIT. THE MANAGER WOUNDED. A false moustache and other too obvious forms of disguise, thwarted a daring attempt to rob a bank at Wasleys, South Australia, tbe other day. The disguised man drove up to. the bank in a Dodge car, and asked the manager if he could open an account with the bank. Mr. Mohr, the manager, noticed that the man was wearing a false moustache, and saw other s’gns of disguise.- He picked up his automatic pistol from beneath the counter. As he was doing so the man fired at Mr. Mohr, but missed. Another shot from the intruder’s revolver hit Mr. Mohr on. the knuckles and traversed the full length of the index finger. Then Mr. Mohr opened fire on his assailant and discharged four shots. The man replied with five more shots. Mr. Mohr believes that the last shot he fired struck the man as he was leaving the bank, because he grabbed his side and screamed. The man regained his motorcar and drove off.
