Madden (Republican) 14,628 Prof. Tierney (Treaty-ite) 13,758 The Dublin correspondent of the Daily Express says the South Dublin election is considered to be a bad blow foi the Government, as it is believed the Republicans’ victory has enormously influenced the polling in the rural areas.
