ARRANGEMENTS FOR TO-DAY, The weekly meeting of the executive of the North Taranaki Cricket Association was held at New Plymouth last night. Present: Messrs. C. G. Bottrill (chairman), R. L. Machu, T. H. Bates, C. O. Berg, A. 11. Osborne and W. Hughes (secretary). Reporting on tlie condition of the wickets on the sportsground, the chairman said that they were now in good order, and he was of the opinion that the wicket would be available for senior matches very shortly. Tn regard to the match with Auckland, he had received no definite advice, but he understood a northern touring -team would visit Taranaki shortly.

Arrangements were discussed in connection with to-day’s match against South Taranaki at New Plymouth. The southern team will arrive at 10 a.m. South Taranaki Association wrote asking if it would be convenient to commence the match half an. hour later. It was further suggested that the match should be decided on the first innings in the event of the match not being completed. It was decided to agree to the proposals. The Wellington Association wrote regarding a Town v. Country match at Wellington on December 19 and 20. The South Taranaki. Wanganui, Wairarapa, Rangitikei, Hawke’s Bay, South Hawke’s Bay and Manawatu associations had also been communicated with on the matter. A list of the team was required by December 6. It was decided to refer the matter to the selectors.

A further communication from the "Wellington Association stated that so far as was known at present no Wellington team would tour Taranaki this season.

It was decided to write to the New Zealand Council suggesting that a player should reside within the boundaries of an association one month before he should be allowed to represent that association. It was also decided to approach the council on the question of a two day match having to be postponed on the second day on account of rain. The association desired that a ruling should be brought down as to how the result of the match was to be decided. THE STRATFORD CLUB. The following will comprise the Stratford B team which will meet Midlands B at the Stratford Technical High School grounds, to-day: Beere, H. Davis, Oatton. Griffin, Father Hilly, Newbold, Nelson, Richardson, H. Thomas, Sharpe, Trotter (captain). Emergencies: Chisholm, Syme, F. Young. On account of the North and South Taranaki match at New Plymouth, no other senior games will be played.
