MORE CRUISERS.
DEFENCE OF TRADE ROUTES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Nov. 19. The navy is alive to the urgency of Lord Jellicoe’s warning for the need of first -class cruisers for the defence of trade routes. It is learned that the Premier (Mr. Stanley Baldwin) is immediately submitting a programme for the building of eight cruisers which the Labour Government had reduced to five.
