GUM-DIGGER’S SUICIDE.

Ivan Lulieh. a .iugo-Klav, aged 32 and single, was fo’.Vtid dead in a gum-dig-ging camp, on the-West Uoas-t Road last night. Deceased had shot him self with a double-barrelled shotgun by tieing a piece of string to his big toe an* the trigger of the giu>. The inquest revealed the fact that the deceased had been ill for some time, an<l had given - up, all hope, of recovery. He loft a letter stating his intention to take his life. After hearing the evidence by a surgeon and countrymen of the deceased, tlfe coroner brought in a verdict that deceased took his life while mentally through ill-health.
