“GUSHING BORES.”
AN UNQUALIFIED SUCCESS. That the enterprise of the New Plymouth Comedy Company in producing “Gushing Bores” has been attended by nothing but unqualified success was clearly demonstrated by the large house that greeted the company at its second performance at the Empire Theatre last night. Patrons of the previous performance must have gone away well satisfied and with particularly enthusiastic commendation to 'broadcast, for the queue began to form at the door shortly after 6.30 o’clock last night, and by 8 p.m. hardly a seat was vacant. The opening numbers of the variety programme, which was offered prior tn the staging of Gordon Graeme’* comedy, put the audience in happy' mood immediately, and not an item followed which was not fully appreciated. Author and players alike deserve every '’••edit for their production of the com?Jy, replete as it is with the local hits which appeal to any audience, while mystery and ultimate surprise are provided by the plot. The company com’nl<'*4»o New Plymouth season to-night and will play at the Theatre Royal, Waitara, on Mon-* day next. Owing to the excellent reception accorded the *'omj)any, the management announce that fr«lewood and possibly other towns may be included in its itinerary.
