Wilbur (Secretary of the Navy) called at White House and after a conference with President Coolidge stated that a special board would be appointed to investigate the relative value of air, submarine iynd surface oraflt with a view to the adjustment of the Budget. He declared that his speeches on the Pacific Coast were not mentioned during the conference. These, he' said, had been misreported. For instance, h > did not say that there were antagoristio peoples on the Pacific, but he did say there were opposing civilisations.
