ADVANCE AT LONDON SALE. TW TO FIFTEEN PER CENT. VERY KEEN COMPETITION. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.— Copyright. Received Sept. 17, 9.40 p.m. London, Sept. 16. The wool sales have opened. Prices show a 10 to 15 per cent. rise. There was a good average representative selection. There was an enormous attendance, including French, German and American buyers, the sale room being packed to its utmost capacity- There was a strong and buoyant tone and very keen competition, all sections operating freely. All merinos were 10 per cent, up; medium to low crossbreds, 10 to 15 per cent, up; fine, none offering; slipes, 5 to 7i per cent. up. New Zealand slipes, C.F.M./Belfast, sold at 37Jd.
