If appears that there is little chance of the horse again racing during its nresent visit to Sydney. On the advice of n veterinary surgeon Price has scratched the marc for the Hill Stakes and the Epsom. Father’s Voice, Bosh and Bonaparte have been scratched for the Hill Stakes, making seven acceptors.

The most promising two-year-old figuring amongst the crowd slipped In the two-year-old parade at Ellerslie the other day was Master Mind, a fine, upstanding colt by Luru'lus from our old friend Avon Park (Sylvia Park Tottle). Avon Park was a successful mare in her day, and It would occasion little surprise if her progeny were endowed with the same speed. Duo struck himself whilst galloping recently, and In consequence was struck out of Avondale engagements. The mishap cannot be of a serious nature, seeing that he has been nominated in several events at the Napier Park meeting. After payment of forfeits the following horses remain in the Hawke’s Bay Guineas: Coot, Subjection, Termination, Lady Joyce, J*hoenix Park, King’s Folly.
