TENDERS FOR SHIPS.
DUTCH BEAT BRITISH. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Received Sept- 16, 9.45 p.m. London, Sept. 18. The Shell Transport Company has accepted Dutch tenders for six oiltankers involving £1,200,000. The contract stipulates British steel and no German machinery. The Daily Express says that though some British firms tendered without profit, the lowest was £lOOO in excess of the Dutch tender.
