MURDERED DEPUTY.
THOUSANDS ATTEND FUNERAL. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 16, 8.35 p.m. Rome, Sept. 16. Three hundred thousand Fascists, headed Iby Signor Mussolini, followed the hearse at the funeral of Deputy Casalini, who was shot in a tramcar the other day. Small Fascist groups attempted to attack the opposition newspaper offices, but they were frustrated. Great animation prevailed throughout the city, but there were no serious happenings owing to the severe measures taken bv the authorities.
Fascist! formed n hollow square at the burial- A tattoo of drums prehided the roll-call, and when Deputy Casalini’s name was called the assembled Fascists thundered “Present,” simultaneously shooting their arms skyward.
