WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP. BLACKBURN DEFEATS MAY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Clarrie Blackburn (Frankton), 10.3%, chalieager, outpointed Harry May (Auckland), 10.4%, holder, for the professional welterweight boxing title of New Zealand. The contest was rather lifeless. Blackburn won almost every round. A thrilling contest was provided by D. Clinton. Palmerston North, and R. Overend, Napier, who boxed ten rounds at catch weights. The fudge could not separate them.
