RED CROSS SOCIETY.
NEW PLYMOUTH BRANCH. CERTIFICATES PRESENTED. < Under the auspices of the New Plymouth branch of the Red Cross Society an interesting lecture on “What we know of Cancer,” was given by Dr. G. Home last night before a large attendance. At the conclusion of the address (which was not open to the press) the successful candidates in the Red Cross examinations held in 1923 and 1924 were presented with certificates. Those who qualified for certificates in 1923 were:— Home nursing.—Misses Kathleen Downs, L. Wiifordstan, G. Wellington, K. Young, Janet Morrison, Eadie Jago, Isabel Watfoh and Dorothy Chapman; Mesdames E. Wellington. Eric Shaw, M. Freeman, A. Patrick and Putt.
Those who have qualified for junior first aid certificates this year are:—Masters Allen Henderson, Hutchinson, Francis Therkleson and McMillan; Misses May Horlor, E. Hingley, I. Watson, J. Carruthers, G. Wellington, L. Wiifordstan. A.,Penman, K. Young, J. Morrison, and M. Bottrill; Mrs. Wellington; Messrs. Therkleson, A. B. Shaw, Greve and lan Shaw.
Certificates had already'been forwarded to Misses Elsie Young, Rita Edgecombe and Giddy; Messrs. Insult, W. J. Mountjoy and Arthur Kidson.
