BIG BORROWING PROPOSAL. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Received July 2, 10.80 p.m. Ottawa, July 1. a resolution authorising the Government to borrow 300,000,000 dollars to meeting maturing obligations was passed by the House of Commons. The acting-Minister for Finance (Mr. Robb) said it was expected to float a loan at less than 5 oer cent. The suggestion waa made that the Dominion should issue bonds to its own Treasury, and issue the necessary credits thereon. Mr. Robb replied that he did not propose to “Russiamse” Canadian securities.
