CURE FOR CONSUMPTION

NEW ZEALAND INTERESTED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, March 18. Mi Spahlinger, accompanied by Sir James Allen (High Commissioner for New Zealand) interviewed Sir George Newman, chief medical officer to the Ministry of Health, and discussed suggestions whereby they might help M. Spahlinger financially in the continued production of serum. M. Spahlinger has not yet accepted, but Sir James Allen is hopeful that a satisfactory arrangement will be reached. •‘When I was Defence Minister,” said Sir James, "I saw so much of tuberculosis that I decided to help along any possible cure. I am anxious that New Zealand should lx* freed of tuberculosis. Could the cattle of the world be also freed from tuberculosis the effect upon the dairy industry would be tremendous.”
