AERIAL DEVELOPMENT.
NEW SCHEME PROPOSED. London, 18. Mr. A. H. Ashbolt, Agent-General for Tasmania, stated that the Government strongly favours the establishment of Imperial airships. Its opposition to the Burney scheme doos not mean scrapping the Empire air line. It is understood that an alternative scheme is nt present being prepared which, when completed, ia likely to be submitted, together with the Burney scheme, for a free vote of Parliament.
