GERMAN UNEMPLOYED.

THREE MILLIONS IDLE.

By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. New York. Dec. 20. The United Press correspondent interviewed Herr Theodor Deipart. leader of organised Labour, who declared there were 3,250,0(K> totally unemployed workers in Germany and two million others on short time. Moreover, those who were fortunate enough to have work must face the high cost of living with wages below’ the pre-war rate. rierr Leipart said the entrepreneurs were exploiting the workers’ extremity and endeavduring to further depress wages and this would eventually affect wages in other lands, for employers would say they must reduce, because those in Germany were low and would create serious competition, but organised Labour would fight the industrialists to the bitter end in order to prevent the workers from starving and the employers from lowering wages abroad.
