AMERICAN EXPERT ARRIVES. DECLINES AN INTERVIEW. (By Wire —Special to News.) Auckland, Last Night. Dr. F. Gi ‘Clapp, one of the ’leading petroleum experts of the United States, reached Auckland to-day by the Niagara from San Francisco. He goes south to investigate the possibilities of the Taranaki oil 'fields. He declined to discuss his mission.
