The Daily Mail predict* that the King’s Speech at the opening of Parliament will reiterate the Government’s belief that protection of home industries will cure unemployment and also deal lengthily with the intention to ratify the conclusions of the 'lmperial and Economic Conferences. It will also emphasise that the Singapore dock is essential to Empire defence. The Admiralty’s view is that no future Government which conducts an inquiry will cancel the Singapore project.
