POLITICAL CRISIS IN FRANCE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Dec. 21, 8 5 p.m. London. Dee. 24. The Pari-; correspondent of the Daily Express says M. Poincare is fighting hard to remain in office till the elections in April, but it is highly probable the high cost of living will bring about the Government’s fall prior to that time. The Chamber carried a vote of confidence in M. Poincare in the nmall hours of to-day on the subject of civil servants’ bonuses, but only after a ten hours’ struggle. In the meantime, the cost of living is increasing and the franc is falling. M. Poincare faces the hardest fight in the Senate on Wednesday over the Senate’s proposed amendment to the present voting system.
