TARANAKI’S TRADE.

NEW PLYMOUTH FIGURES. INCREASE LAST MONTH. During the last four-weekly period. 23 vessels traded at the port of New Plymouth, their total tonnage being 42,‘245 tons. The imports for the period totalled 8319 tons and the exports 1912 tons, making a total of 9631 tons of cargo handled.

Eor the corresponding period of last year the number of vessels was nineteen, their aggregate tonnage being 39,981 tons. The imports amounted to 6126 tons, and exports 1619, or a total cargo of 7745 tons. Three overseas vessels loaded at the port during each period.
