VISIT TO TARANAKI. PROBABLY EARLY NEXT MONTH. In pursuance of his promise to visit Taranaki as soon after the end of the Parliamentary seereiOn as - possible, the Minister for Education (the Hon. C. J. Parr) is expected in the district early next month.

Mr. S. G. Smith, M.P., telegrahped the Taranaki Education Board yesterday, asking whether September, 11 would be a suitable date for the Minister, to visit New Plymouth. It was decided to accept the date mentioned, when,the board will bring several pertaining to education in before the Minister’s notice. It was further mentioned that Mr. Parr would probably visit Eltham. on September 13. . • ftlr. Smith also telegraphed to last night’s meeting of the New Plymouth High Schools’ Board of Governors, ask*ing if September 11 was a-suitable date for the Minister’s visit. The proposed date met the board’s convenience.
