TROTTING DISQUALIFICATION. AN APPEAL DISMISSED. July 9. An appeal against the decision of the Marlborough Racing Club in disqualifying him and his horse Chaucer for two years for alleged Inconsistent running was brought before the New Zealand Trotting Association Board to-day by Mr. N. Emms. The appeal constituted the main business of the meeting. Mr. Selig presided. The appellant was represented by Mr. A. T. Donnelly, Christchurch, and Mr. F. F. Reid represented the club. It was intimated that the appellant had evidence that was not called at the hearing before the stewards to show that his brother put money on the horse on his behalf; also as to the condition of the horse. The board decided not to deal with the fresh evidence submitted and dismissed the appeal.
