NEW ZEALAND BEHIND.

LACK OF PUBLICITY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, July 7. Dr. Thacker, writing from the Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco, says: “The citizens of this State are kind friends to us in every way, and it is almost criminal the little knowledge they have of our land and what our land could send them. It is not their fault; they do not know of these things. It is completely our fault, as none of the information bureaus, such as the one in this hotel, has any literature whatever about New Zealand. I have brought some up from the Union Company this afternoon, but I intend writing to our Tourist Department asking them to put our literature about our scenic resorts, fishing and other sports, in each of these information bureaus.”
