RIFLE-SHOOTING.
NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The miniature branch of the New Plymouth Rifle Club will resume rifle practice at the Coronation Hall tonight, after an interval of a fortnight causel by the hall being required for the Winter Show. Practice will commence at 7 p.m. The branch is steadily growing in numbers and considerable interest in the sport is taken by the members. After the practice a match will probably be fired. The lady members will resume practice on Thursday night9at the usual hour. Some of the lady > members are shaping very well and with a little more regular practice a strong team may be easily selected from their ranks. A team match is to be arranged between them and one of the junior teams from the High School. A match between the New Plymouth Rifle Club (holders) and Kaponga Rifle Club (challengers) will be fired on the Rewarewa range on June 23 for the posession of the Rifle Clubs’ Challenge Shield.
