STILL MISSING.

THE MAN LOST ON EGMONT.

FURTHER SEARCH TO-DAY.

No further indications of the whereabouts of the Rev. William Murray, lost on Mt. Egmont, were found by the searchers yesterday. It will be a week < to-dav since Mr. Murray was lost. All trace of the missing man’s tracks have been lost, and ytwterday the searchers followed Stony River, over Bell's Falls, practically the same ground as that already covered. Mr. Murray, junior, who arrived from Manukau on Saturday, joined Mr. t'pson'a party, which started from, the North Egmont House at 4 am. yesterday. The other members of the party were. Messrs Haldane, Gibson, Cluny, Cameron, and Dr. Brewster. They commenced operations nt the junction of Stony River and a stream running past Holly Flat lodge, but when they returned to t e Mountain House their report was a fruitless search. Several parties of searchers will go out to-day, when new ground will be covered. * A large number of people from Stratford were on the mountain during the week-end, some of them engaged in th > search for the missing man. One party of six left Stratford for the North Egmont. honse late on Saturday night. Immediately on arrival at the house they on the summit and arrived there at 2,30 a.m. The legion of Stony River and Bell’s Falls was searched, the party being out for 19 hoiirfi, but no trace of the lost man was found. Reports from other parties engaged in the search were all to tha. samje effect. /
