ALTERATION TO PLANS. REPORT MADE TO COUNCIL. A report on the additional cost of laying the projoaed tram track in the centre of the road, as demanded by the Public Works Department, instead of having the track on the side as originally contemplated, waa submitted to the Borough Council last night by the electrical engineer (Mr. R. H- Bartley). New estimates for alterations to the road and matters affecting his department were also presented by the engineer (Mr. W. H. Cook). “The matter contained in these reports is confidential and has been prepared for the guidance of the deputntion to Wellington,” said the Mayor (Mr. F. E. Wilson). The deputation waa appointed, to consist of the Mayor, Crs. .1. Brown and F. J. Hill and the electrical engineer (Mr. R. H Bartley |. The time of departure for Wellington whs left in abeyance pending communication with the member for the district (Mr. S. G. Smith) as to the most suitable time to wait on the Minister.
