WEDDINGS.
GAUSTF.D-RAVEN. A very pretty wedding was celebrated at the Anglican Church, ITrenir. on Wednesday, January 31, when Mr. Paul Gausted and Miss Barbara Raven were married. The bride entered the church on the arm of her uncle, Mr. Bell, who gave her away. She looked charming attired in white, with the orthodox Wreath of ■'ange blosscpu and tulle
veil, which was held in place by a silver bandeau. ‘She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white flowers and asparagus fern. She was attended by her twin sisters as bridesmaids. Both were dressed alike in heliotrope voile with hats to -match, and each carried a shower bouquet of heliotrope flowers •and asparagus fern. The church, which was beautifully decorated with flowers (mostly white and pale' blue) by friendfi of the bride, was crowded to overflowing. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Gavin. Mrs. A. Thompson presided at the organ and played the wedding march. The hymn was "The voice that breathed o’er Eden.' The happy couple left the church to enter their motor-car amidst showers of rose-petals and rice. A reception was afterwards held at Ngatiawa House. Mr. and Mrs. Gausted are '.spending the honeymoon in New Plymouth.
A quiet wedding took place at Stratford on Monday last, when Miss Moya Boyle, only daughter of Mr. and Airs. Thomas Boyle, of Cardiff, was married to Mr. H. B Gibson, Manaia, and only son of Mr. and Aire. A. B* Gibson, of New Plymouth. After the ceremony Mr. and Airs. Gibson left on a motoring tour of New Zealand and will be away several weeks.
