NAVAL POLICY WANTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.— Copyright. Sydney ,Jan. 16. In the course of an interview Commodore Addison, commander of the Australian Navy, pleaded for a wider appreciation of the Australian squadron by the Australian people. He expressed the hope that the forthcoming Imperial Conference would decide on a naval policy. It was unfair that men of the squadron should be made uncertain as to their future, a<s such a feeling hampered them considerably- in their work. / RABBIT-TRAPPING FOR UNEMPLOYED. Sydney, Jan. 16. Following on the Government’s action in sending Italian immigrants rabbit trapping, a deputation of unemployed asked Mr. Wearne, Minister for Lands, to give the unemployed the same opportunities. The Minister promised to extend the same treatment to unemployed. a number of whom would be selected and taught trapping and sent to the same district as the Italians.
