INGLEWOOD.

A LOCAL WEDDING. (From Our Own Correspondent.) A quiet but very pretty wedding took place at the Alethodist Church, Inglewood, on Thursday, the contracting parties being Edna Florence, youngest daughter of Air. and Airs. S. O. Spurdie, of Inglewood, and Air. Andrew Hewiston Fraser, of Dunedin. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Geo. AlcLaughlin, as best man, the officiating minister being the Rev. C. B. Chambers. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked charming in a pretty frock of white chiffon taffeta silk, embroidered with silver beads, wearing the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and earning a handsome shower bouquet of cream and gold roses and maidenhair fern. She was attended by her cousin, Alias Hope Asher, of Auckland who wore a charming frock of orange satin charmeuse, trimmed with ton . ; s of nigger brown with picture hat to match, and carrying a shower bouquet of red kenedya and maidenhair fern. The bride’s mother was attired in a handsome dress of black taffeta silk, with black hat to match. As the happy couple left the church the Wedding March was played by the Mayor of Inglewood (Mr. J. Sutherland). Subsequently a reception was held, where the happy couple were the recipients of congratulations of about 50 of their friends. Thereafter the wedding breakfast was served, during which the customary toasts were duly honored. Air!, and Airs. Fraser left by the afternoon train for the south, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s going-away dress was a handsome model of soft grey gabardine with cape worked in saxe blue and fawn, with hat to match. The presents were numerous. handsome and useful, those of the bridegroom to his bride and her bridesmaid being handsome gold watches.
