PRICES FOR POULTRY. Messrs. L. A. Nolan and Co. report the following prices at their weekly poultry sale: Hens 2s Od, 3s 2d; cockerels 2s 6d, 4s 3d; ducks 3s 2d, 3s 4d; geese 3s 6d; ducklings (large) 2s lOd, 3s Id; hen and chickens 12s 6d; hen and ducklings 17s, chickens (small) 3d and Is. Messrs. Webster Bros, report as follows: Chickens 4d to Is; hens 2s lOd, 4s; ducks 2s 4d 3s 6d; pullets 3s to 4s 9d; bantams 9d. THE PIG MARKET. At Newton King, Ltd.’s New Plymouth Haymarket, yesterday, a fair number of pigs were penned. Slips made 103 to 12s, small stores Is to 21s, larger 335. ADDINGTON MARKET. Christchurch, Nov. 22. At Addington market,there were, small yaruings of fat sheep and lambs and a substantial increase in values. Beef was in heavy supply and the market was easier. Store Sheep.—A moderate yarding, principally two-tooths off the shears, with a few lines of ewes and wethers and a sound demiand throughout, the sale improving as it progressed, especially for ewes and lambs. Age°d ewes and lambs 18s lid to 16s, all counted, sound and failing-mouthed ewes and lambs 17s Id to 18s 6d, all counted; good aged woolly ewes and lambs 19s, all counted; inferior aged woolly ewes and lambs 15s 9d, all counted; two-tooth wethers 15s 4d to 16s 2d, good two-tooth wethers 18s 9d, cull two-tooth wethers 13s 4d, fairly forward 4 and 6-tooth wethers 22s lid, forward eighttooth wethers 235.

Fat Lambs.—A small yarding of 412, an increase in values of about Is 6d per head, the per lb average being from 10%d to lid. Extra prime lambs 34s to 37s 6d, prime 31s to 33s 6d, medium 27s to 30s Gd, light unfinished lambs 21s to 265. Fat Sheep. —A very small yarding, about 20 per cent, less than the weekly requirements, improvement in values over the first ‘half by 6s per head, but eased off towards the end by 2s to 3s. Wether mutton made from 6%d to 6%d and in the early part of the sale 7d per lb, eWe 6d, a few sheep in wool forward extra prime wethers 395, a few special tor 355, prime wethers 313 6d to 355, medium 27s 6d to 31s, light 24s to 275, extra prime ewes 355, a few special 36s lOd, prime 29s to 31s, medium 26s 6d to 28s 6d, light ewes 23s to 2Gs, extra prime woolly wethers 37s Gd, a few special 40s 9d, prime 34s to 365, ordinary 29s to 33s 6d, prime woolly ewes 30s to 345, a few special 395, ordinary 27 s Gd to 2»s 6d. Fat Cattle.—444 penned, the bulk big beef. Last week’s improvement was partially losi. Specially good medium beef made to 325, heavy 27s 6d to 30s, medium 25s to 27s Gd, unfinished 22s Gd. No North Island beef. Forward extra prime steers £l4 to £l5 15s, prime £ll 15s to £l3 15s, medium £9 5s to £ll, light £6 7s Gd to £8 15s, extra prim© heifers £lO 17s Gd, prime £7 10s to £9 ss, medium £5 to £7 ss, light £3 10s to £4 15s, prlime cows £7 5s to £8 12s Gd, ordinary £5 to £7 2s 6d. Vealera—The market opened well, but late entries flooded the market and prices receded. Runners to £4 12s 6d, ordinary vealers £3 to £3 15s, smaller calves 6s and upwards. Store Cattle.—A large yarding and a good demand, especially for well grown steers. Good three and four-year steers £7 to £B, good two and two and a-half year steers £2 15s to £3 10s, yearling, eighteen months 17s Gd to 255, two and two and a-half year heifers £2 5s to £2 15s, yearling and eighteen months 23s to 27s 6d. Dairy Cattle.—A small yarding and a weak demand, prices slightly lower; extra good second, third and fourth calvers springing £ll 10s, good £5 to £B, extra good £8 10s, good springing heifers £4 to £6 10s, aged springers £2 to £5. Fat Pigs.—A big entry and a fair demand, but heavy baconers and porkers in oversupply. Choppers £2 to £3 10s, light haeon-' ers £2 17s to £3 ss, Jieavy £3 7s Gd to £3 12s. The average price per lb, light 5%d to 6d, heavy 4d to 4%d, light porkers £1 18s to £2 4s, heavy £2 6s to £2 12s, average price per lb 5%d and 6 x 4d. Store Pigs.—As a result of a big entry prices declined. Medium stores 30s to 365, small 16s to 245, weaners 10s to 18s, extra good weaners 21s.

JOHNSONVILLE FAT STOCK SALE. Messrs. Abrahaun and Williams, Ltd., and Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd,, report on their Johnsonville fat stock sale, held this week: A small yarding of both sheep and cattle was offered to a small Attendance of buyers The sheep market was Sull and lifeless. prices being well below export Quotations. Some good pens of lambs met with a medium demand. Bullocks failed to come forward in advertised numbers, but what were yarded sold well. Cow and heifer beef met with a poor demand.
