He had been farming at A rawhat a Road, Oaonui, renting the land, but moved to Rahotu last year. He had a wife and four children. He also had to support two other children. He was bushfalling at present. He gave up farming on account of the slump. He could not make any offer to pay off any of his debts. He did not drink, smoke, or go to races. He attributed his bankruptcy to the fail of prices. His wife had no money. In the event of his coming into any of his mother’s land, he would pay his creditors from any proceeds he might get. ‘ As nothing could be done at present- to pay creditors, no further action was taken.
