WASHINGTON CONFERENCE.
ECONOMIC’ CONDITIONS. A SUBJECT FOR DISCUSSION. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Washington, Oct. 25. The passing through the House of Representatives of the Bill creating a AVar Debts Commission bears .out the 'view that the scope of the Conference must include a survey of financial and economic conditions throughout the world, and that much good can be accomplished. It is now admitted that such questions will be diecussed and President Harding has determined to secure the passage of the Bill by the Senate to ena/ble delegates to talk with full power at the Conference. Though the scope will be widened there will be an exclusion of purely European issues, but where European issues on such a matter as the religions of France and Germany are so widespreading in the inSuence for good or evil they will not be avoided.
