At the mixed wool sales there was a better all round selection of merinos, with very good competition, both from, the Continent and from Yorkshire. The latter were praticulariy keen. Prices were firm and fending upwards. There was strong general competition for medium and low crossbreds, and prices were distinctly harder.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. THE TALLOW MARKET. Received Oct. 27, 10.30 p.m. London, Oct. 26. At the tallow sales 401 casks were offered and 152 sold. Fine mutton declined 2s per cwt, and others were unchanged.
