Paris, Feb. 28. The Georgian Government has telegraphed a denial of the reported fall of Tiflis. PACIFIC AIMS OF FRANCE. London, Feb. 27. In view of recent events, the newspaper Observer publishes an interview with M. Poincare emphasising the pacific aims of France. He declared that it would be a fatal blunder for France to initiate a separate policy and act without the full knowledge and authorisation of Britain. FUTURE OF BULGARIAN THRACE. Athens, Feb. 28. It is reported that between 30 and 40 people were killed and scores injured by a wreck of two passenger trains near Porter (Indiana). AMERICAN TARIFF BILL. Washington, Feb. 28. The Senate passed the report of the conference of the two Houses on the Tariff Bill by 49 votes to 36. President Wilson has four days before he vacates office within which to veto or sign the measure.
