TARANAKI LAND BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING, The monthly meeting of the Taranaki Land Board was held yesterday. Present: Messrs G. 11. Billiard (chairman), J. Heslop, N. R. Cleland, and J. W. 11. Martin. An apology for absence was received from Mr. C. .J. Ryan. The following applications for land were approved: Section 8 block X Aria, D. A. C. Higgie. Section i) black 11 Taurakawa, A. March and A. Mutrie. Section 3D block II Opunakc, G. Thomas. Section -23 block IV Totoro, G. Laurenson. Section 9 block IV Mapara, T, A. Garratt. Section 6 block 111 Manara, T. A Garratt. Section 35 block XI Ngaire, C. J. Belcher. Section 5 block IV Mapara, C. A. i Miller.

The following transfers were approved:— •Section 574 town of New Plymouth, A. J. Gibbins to Henry Petersen. Section 5 block VIII Huiroa, G, Parrock and D. Men to .S. J. Batly. Tart section 22 bloek XII Mapara, W. A. Coombridge to C. W. Watts. Sub-divisions 3 and 4 of section 42 Patea suburbs, J. A. McKenmi to J. W. Burke. Section 2!) Una and Waiwakaiho district, S. G. Williams to C. Weston. Section 3 block VII Aria, S. Hunter and F. MeFadyen to 8. Hunter and A. M. Riddell. Tlie transfer of sections 17 and 21, Nga'tikahumate bloek, from B. F. Bowman to C. F. Griffiths was deferred for further particulars. The transfer of section I block 111 Tangitu, from G. C. Welsh to C, Cave, was recommended for the Minister's approval. The plans and specifications of building proposed to be erected by 0. C. Gilbert on section 578 town of Xew Plymouth were approved. It was resolved to recommend that sections 1 and 3 block XIV Aria be declared a special roading district under section HO of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913. The sub-division of section 3, block ill Mapara, held by F. o'K.eefc and Margaret M. Pulman, was approved. A renewable lease was granted to A. J. Baker over an area of 7 acres fronting his section 13 block VII Waro. The arbitrator's report on E.R. section 4_ bloek XI Ngairo. held by Hannah Kneebone, was received. The ranger's report on improvements on section 4-0 block VI Ngai'rc was received.

Sections ss, (is, Ss and Us, and 10s. Tawhiwlii Settlement, are to be reoffered for general selection at prices and conditions to he fixed. The application by L. 11. Webster to ; sub-divide his lease of sections 325. 301. 3-20, and 327, town of New Plymouth, was approved at the rentals fixed.) Proposals for the expenditure of thirds by the Whaugamomona County Council were approved. The forfeiture of Messrs Adair and Garvey's interest, in section fi block X Ohura was confirmed and the section allotted to Messrs Cole and McNamara.
