STRATFORD SPRING SHOW.
RECORD ENTRY OK JERSEYS AND FRIESIAXnS. The entries of Jerseys and Frisians for next week's iSpring Show at Stratford will constitute a record for any show in the Dominion. Entries are stiil arriving from all over the country, and all the best animals from these breeds in the North Island will be present at the show. Arrangements have been completed for the supply of what is. regarded as ample feed for the great number of rattle, which will come to the show. The entry of Ayrshjrcs is better than usual and includes softie new blood. The secretary is nov| awaiting a reply from the authorities 'at the Weraroa State Farm, who have been asked to send polled cattle for exhibition only and to make entries in the competition classes.
The local Friesian breeders will find it a hard job to retain the Cup in the district, in view of the large entry in this breed, and one outside breeder has no fewer than 20 entries. It is expected that when entries finally close there will lie close on fifty entries in the clas9 for yearling Jerse'v heifers. In the aged Jersey cow and bull classes, competition also promises to he keen. Late entries will close to-night.
