'A2PRELIMINARI TRIP. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Sept. 27. - .'A British Imperial Antarctic expedition, consisting of Commander Cope, G. H. Wilkins, 0. M. Lester, and W. Bagshawe, has left London for Christiania, whence they start, on a preliminary trip to the Antarctic, via the Blalklands and Deception Island to Hope Bay, Grahamland, where they will establish a base. They will spend a year exploring Weddel Sea tod Deception Island, and then return to London to arrange a big expedioccupying five years, during which specially prepared aeroplanes will be utilised for a dash to the Pole.—Aus.N.Z, Cable Assn.
