BOWLING.

At Wednesday's meeting of the Dominion Bowling Association, Mr. J. J. Maiiow raised tl:e question as to the stamping of bowls. He Bftid tli.it anyone who knew anything about; timber, particularly as applied to bowls, knew tliflt changes took place owing to shrinkage as the wood gradually dried up. This, he •maintained, affected a bowl sufficiently to negatlvo the virtue of a test stamp after a number of years. The 1909 stamp—the old; K.Z.B.A. stamp—was now useless as r.n indication of the bias of that bowl. He therefore moved that the 1909 stamp be done away with altogether as any criterion of tl:c condition of the bowl; that the 1913 hold good for the present, and that a new 1920 stamp be procured for all future stamping of howls. Mr, MarlojvV mot!,on was carried, it being agreed, on the suggestion of Mr. S. H. Underwood, that a. stamp of a new design altogether be procured to avoid any "faking" or confusion with existing importations.
