REACHES WELLINGTON TO-DATf. THE SWEARING-IN CEREMON^. The new Governor-General (Vitconni ' Jnllicoe of Scapa) and Lady Jellicoe will nrrive at Wellington this morning in iha Corinthic. The latest advice from tba steamer says she will arrive at 9 a.m. Lord Jellicoe will be welcomed bn the Corinthic by the Administrator (Sir Bo- ' bert Stout), and will then make his official , landing. In the afternoon the swearing-in ceremony will take place on the steps of Parliament House. On arrival His Excellency wilt take hit sent in the centre of the dais, and aftwJhe clerk of the Executive Council (Mr. F. D. Thomson) has read the commission, by which His Excellency was appointed. Sir Robert Stout, Administrator of the Government, will administer the oaths of office by which Viscount Jellicoe swears "to administer justice impartially," and to "be faithful and to bear the allegifince.to King George." His Excellency's signature will be witnessed by the Prime Minister (Hon. W. F. Massey), and Sir Robert Stout, and it is probable that Viscount Jellicoe will be the bearer of a message from His Majesty the King, which lie will deliver to the public. The Prime Minister will extend ft -welcome to Viscount and Lady Jellicoe on behalf of the people of New Zealand, to which His, Excellency will reply and the ceremony will be concluded.
