PRESBYTERIANS AND METHODISTS By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 26, 5.5 p.m. Sydney; Sept. 20. The Presbyterian General Assembly, by 125 votes to H negatived ail amendmen disapproving of the proposed schetne for organic union with the Methodist and Congregational Churches. Further discussion on the question was adjourned till Monday.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Sydney, Sept. 25. The Presbyterian General Assembly is considering the report on church union, which shows that to date GO per cent, of Presbyterians and 84 per cent, of Congregationalists favor union. The Methodist vote shows 29,492 in favor and 2742 against, for members, and 4492 in favor and 401 against for trus-tess.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
