DOMINION CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. t Wellington, Sept. 22. The annual meeting of the Dominion Bowling Conference opened to-day. Mr. T. Bush was elected president, and Mr. S. H. Underwood secretary for the next twelve months. It was decided to send an invitation to the New South l Wales Bowling Association to send a team to New Zealand to participate in the annual, tournament. The secretary is to point out that the banner for he wluuing loam at the tourney could not leave New Zealand, but that all other trophies won could be taken, i The banner, if won by the Australian team, would go to the next rink tn order. The conference decided that the tournament should commence on Jonuary 10. Wellington, Last Night. It was decided,that the Dominion tournament should commence on Monday, January 10th, opening with rinks. The old custom of playing a three rinks game, a day was abandoned, it heing decided to play two games of 25 heads daily, tlu rinks having the most wins to' have preference in byes. In the play-off, no rink or.lndlvidual is to have two byes running. A proposal that pairs games in the tournament be played with two bowls Instead of four was ruled out (of order as contrary to the laws of the game. It was decided to play pairs in the usual way, the championship singles to be played on a two life system in sections of three, as In Ctristchurcli last January. It was decided not <to allow substitutes in the singles competition. It was also agreed that no substitute' in rinks or pairs should be allowed to skip, and a clause to that effect is to be inserted in the tournament programme. The entrance fee for the tournament will be the same as at Christchurch last January. The executive for the tournament will be president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer, with Messrs. F. Meadcroft and T. Gray. An annual levy of 3d per member of all clubs affiliated to the Association was struck. It was decided to accept the invitation of the International Bowling Board to send a team Home, and a committee was appointed in connection with the matter. The following rinks will represent West End in a match against Fitzroy, on the Fitzroy Creen on Thursday, commencing at 145 : Thomson, Campbell, Hurlstone, Sole (skip) ; Potter, Styles, H .Hill, Beal (skip); Corney, Mynott, Lobb, Newell (skip); Hodson, Saunders, Hill, Billing (skip).
