NEWTON KING, LTD., Newton King, Ltd., reports:— At llrenul, on the 13th., we Ijad a good yarding and. report a satisfactory clearance at rates mostly on a par with recent sales. Hoggets 23s 3d, fat sheep 36s 6d to £2 10s, store cows £4 12s 6d to £7 4s Cd, fat cows £9 15s to £lO 15s, inixed yearling heifers £3 to £3 16s, mixed yearling steers £2 Is, 2-year steers £5 15s, bulls £4 10s to £0 10s, empty' heifers £ 6 os 6d to £ 7 ss, springing heifers £lO to £l4, choicer sorts £l7 to £l9, dairy cows £l.B 10s. At Stony River, on the 14th., the offering of store cattle was small whilst dairy cattle were penned In good numbers. The market for the latter class was exceedingly brighter and showed a considerable all round Increase In values compared with the last sale In these yards. The market for stores had little spirit. Hoggets 22s to 20s 9d, ewes In lamb 255, store eows £4 to £7 Os, fat cow £lO, yearling heifers £2 Is to £6 10s, .yearling steers 34s to £3 10s, empty heifers £5 12s 'Cd to £0 15s, springing heifers £9 15s to £l2, quality sorts £l4 5s to £l7 ss, dairy cows £l2 10s to £25. At Watwakalho on the 171b., yarding accommodation was fully taxed. There was fair enquiry for store cattle sufficient to result in sales for practically each pen offered. Dairy cattle were perhaps a shade easier, due largely to the offering being only of fair quality. Anything choice sold readily. Ewes in lamb 20s Cd, ewes and iambs 345, fat sheep 27s fid, store cows £3 12a Cd to £7 12s 6d, light fat cows £8 2s 6d to £9 15s, bulls £5 5s to £7 ss, yearling heifers £2 5s to £4 8s 6d, yearling Jersey heifers £5 to £lO ss, yearling steers £2 17s 6d to £3 10s, empty heifers £5 12s to £B, springing heifers £lO 10s to £l4, choicer sorts £l9 10s to £2l 10s, dairy cows £l3 10s to £23 10s.
