RESULT OP BRITISH STRIKE. By Teleeraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 21, 5.5 p.m. London, Sept. 20. The Sailors' and Firemen's Union at Liverpool are holding up the Elder, Dempster Bteamer Monarch, which is reported to be going to Bremen to lie repaired owing to the Liverpool shipwright's strike. The Germans offered to do the work cheaper. Mttnv vessels have been sent to Germany since the strike commenced a month ago.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
