NEW PLYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—l notice by the report of tho lust Borough meeting that the Councillors /ire going to try and regulate the traffic In Devon Street on Saturday. Very near time too. I notice that women are Jhe worst to deal with. They have their baby in their prams, and ttey get right across the footpath with three or more other women, and they won't shift for any one, no, not even for Father Peter. There are others just as bad. I allude to people throwing orange peel and banana skins on th 6 footpath. This is a very dangerous thfjig to do, and should be stopped. It is not allowed in any other town, but, I suppose, we cannot get these things all done at once.—l am, etc., RATEPAYER.
