VISIT TO HONOLULU. A QUIET HOLIDAY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright, Honolulu, Sept. 1. The Prince had a three days' highly enjoyable holiday at Honolulu. The .Renown leaves to-night for Acapulco and thenee goes to Panama. The Prince stayed at the Moana Hotel/ on Waikiki beach, as a private gentleman and dined with his suite in the hotel dining-rooin along with other visitors. He spent the holiday golfing, surfing, motoring and dancing. Accompanied by Admiral Sir Lionel Halsey, he called on the Governor and expressed pleasure at revisiting Honolulu without public engagements. He regretted that he was unable to visit the great volcano of Hawaii, as he had arranged, but he preferred to allow the ship's company to have a brief rest here before the long voyage in tropical waters.—Aus.N.2!. Cable Assn. A FAREWELL MESSAGE. LOVE FOR AMERICANS. Received Sept. 3, 7.55 p.m. Honolulu, Sept. "2. Tile Prince of Wales issued a message to the 'Honolulu Press before leaving, expressing his thanks fpr the kind welcome and generous hospitality given by the Governor (Mr. McCarthy) and everyone. The Prince added: "I always feel happy amongst Americans, because American life appeals to me greatly, and I have many American friends, especially since mv short visit to the United States last year. I thank the Governor and everyone for allowing me to make my stay entirely private and free from ceremony, I thank all concerned for the hospitality shown to the Renown's men, and I am delighted to find you are all keen sports. I congratulate my friend Duke Kahanamoku and other Hawaiian swimmers who have been keeping up the great swimming reputation of Honolulu in the Olympic games."— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
