A CRISIS IN BULGARIA, KING WANTS TO ABDICATE,. By-Telegraph.—Press Assn,—Copyright, Received Jan. 11, 5.5 p.m. London, Jan. 9. According to a Belgrade telegram to the Daily Express, there is a crisis in Bulgaria. The revolutionary movement is spreading among peasants and workmen, aided by the railway strike. Strikers have blown up two big railway bridges, for which act four ringleaders have been shot. There have been a number of bloody encounters in Sofia between strikers and troops, the latter using machine guns. Many casualties are reported. The King and the Royal family have been imprisoned in the palace for a fortnight. The- King is anxious to abdicate. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
