The Shipping Controller announces that a conference to endeavour to settle the marine engineers' strike will be held on Monday. Received Jan. 9, 9 p.m. Sydney, Jan. 9. The conference between the engineers and the ship owners is fixed to be held at Melbourne on Monday. Received Jan. 9, 11.55 p.m. Sydney, Jan. 9.
