NAPIER RIVERS IN HIGH FLOOD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, August 1. After ten days' rough weather, .during which 3.33 inches of rain fell, the livers rose rapidly, and yesterday a considerable amount of water overflowed on to the low-lying country between Napier, Meanee, and Pakowhai, but the rivers fell considerably during the night and the danger of a serious, flood is averted for the present. The sea has moderated considerably, and the Arahuta berthed this morning and the Tarawera anchored .off the breakwater.
So, far no stock losses are reported, but the weather is still threatening!
