SEAMEN'S STRIKE.
MEN" (LEAVING THE BOATS. Received -May 20, 12.10 a.m. Melbourne, May 20. The shipping strike has extended to Victoria, and as the inter-State steamers arrive the members of the Victorian Seamen's Union are giving 24 hours' notice to leave the vessels. A number of coastal vessels are already hung, up As the strike now embraces two States, Queensland and Victoria, it comes within the ambit of the Fedeflal Arbitration Court, which may possibly intervene. It is feared the trouble may extend to other States. The Tasmanian route is already affected by the Melbourne stoppage.
